Competencies Analysis
This paper analyzes four of the eleven Library Management Competencies in the Competency Index for the Library Field published by WebJunction (2009). This set of four competencies includes Organizational Leadership, Strategic Planning, Community Relations and Marketing. This paper begins with an analysis of the four competencies as a whole. This is followed by an application of each competency to a specific library organization. Lastly, a suitable measure of achievement is identified for each of the four competencies.
